Grimm

I know all you Americans have already watched season 1 of Grimm. I, however, live in wonderful miserable England where the first episode came out on Monday. But thanks to the wonderful invention of the internet, I've just finished watching episode 11 of the first season. (more to come on project free tv which has other tv shows and movies uploaded on it) I LOVE this show. I can't wait to see if another season comes out or not, and it's so badass. It's almost on par with Merlin, but come on, who can really beat Merlin? NO ONE! LOL! Sorry to those who aren't Merlin fans.

For those who don't know, Grimm is about a Detective in a little American town called Portland (which incidentally is the name of my road LOL!) and he has the ability to see the evil creatures underneath regular looking faces (think the Constantine movie here people) and the reason he can see this stuff is because (wait for it) He's a Grimm. Like as in the fairytales? Apparently, (in this show) all the old fairytales were just warnings about real creatures, and it's this guy's job to hunt down the bad ones and kill them. Except for the fact that he's a cop, so he can't just go around killing people (because these creatures look like humans to everyone except for each other and Grimms) because they have integrated into human society. They're doctors, lawyers, rat catchers, whatever the hell anyone else can be. But he doesn't really want to go around randomly killing at any rate. He just wants to bring the bad ones to justice and kill when he has to.

So yeah, this show is actually quite awesome. It's really dark and not how you'd expect anything based on fairytales to be. However, the original fairytales were quite dark at any rate and got dumbed down for little children later on. Even the humor is dark in this show, but I still love it. I mean the show starts off with the detective's bad ass aunt coming along (oh let's not forget the women is bald as an egg after having extensive chemotherapy and doesn't have long left to live because she's still got cancer) and kicks the ass of a creepy dude with a scythe called a reaper, who kills Grimm's like her and her nephew (yeah a reaper who kills Grimms. Like Grim Reaper? LOL) So yeah the humor is dark, but if you like dark humor go for it because it's fabulicious. You can watch it on Monday nights on Watch/Watch HD on sky digital, or you can just do what I did and watch it all on Project Free TV. If you look at TV.com then they list other places you can watch it online too.
